State ferries, watching it fill with passengers as it prepares head
out from Seattle to Bainbridge Island. These ferries are just a cog in
the seemingly clockwork public transit system that covers the greater
King County and Puget Sound area. I find something about the
reliability of it all intensely comforting, like an old friend who is
always able to understand you no matter how time and space may have
distanced you both.
